Ukraine to prepare action plan for peace by end of November – Zelenskyy
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced in an interview with Japan's NHK that an action plan for achieving peace in Ukraine will be ready by the end of November. He emphasized that he cannot consider a ceasefire while Russia continues to occupy Ukrainian territory.
According to Zelenskyy, detailed discussions with relevant countries will be initiated to address issues of territorial integrity and other critical matters. He mentioned that the plan would be developed with a focus on patience, support, and diplomatic pressure, which he sees as the three key factors for a just resolution to the conflict.
Zelenskyy believes that the unity of the United States and European nations is crucial in exerting pressure on Moscow, as it would demonstrate to Russia that there is no alternative but to negotiate peace.
Furthermore, it was revealed that Kyiv officials have reached out to the US presidential campaign teams of Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris. Zelenskyy mentioned that Trump assured him of his availability for any questions, and even provided his personal phone number.
These efforts underscore Zelenskyy's commitment to rallying international support to end Russia's occupation of Ukrainian territories and find a peaceful resolution to the ongoing conflict.
