Zelensky says Trump should reveal plan on ending Russia's war
President Volodymyr Zelensky has called on Donald Trump to reveal his plan for ending Russia's war against Ukraine, to allow Kyiv to prepare for any risks it might entail. Trump has claimed he could end the war within 24 hours if elected, but has not detailed his strategy, which reportedly includes ceding territory to Russia. Zelensky expressed the need for clarity on future U.S. support and indicated his willingness to meet Trump to hear his proposals. Reports suggest Trump might also negotiate with Russia to block Ukraine and Georgia from joining NATO. Presidential Office head Andriy Yermak emphasized Ukraine's refusal to compromise on its values or territorial integrity. Russia has illegally annexed Crimea and parts of Donbas since 2014, and declared annexations of four additional oblasts in 2022, although it does not fully control these regions.
