Russia deploys 2 missile carriers armed with 16 Caliber cruise missiles in the Black Sea.
Operational Command Pivden (South) has reported that Russia had deployed 2 missile carriers armed with 16 Kalibr cruise missiles for combat duty in the Black Sea.
The enemy flotilla, consisting of 17 vessels, is continuing to maneuver in the Black Sea. Two missile carriers armed with 16 Kalibr cruise missiles have been deployed for combat duty.
The Command thinks it is possible that Russia is thereby "hinting" that it is ready to take revenge for "a very difficult decision" [quote from Sergey Surovikin, commander of the Russian forces in Ukraine - ed.] to withdraw from Kherson Oblast.
"And this means that a repeat of missile and drone attacks on a massive scale on the entire territory of Ukraine is quite likely," the Command has warned.
Russian occupation forces strike a 5-story apartment block in Mykolaiv, killing 6 civilians.
Vitalii Kim, Head of Mykolaiv Oblast Military Administration, has reported that a Russian missile has struck a five-story apartment block in a residential neighborhood in Mykolaiv. Two civilians were killed as a result of the attack.
"These monsters responded to the Armed Forces of Ukraine by launching missiles on a five-story apartment block. Two people were killed, and two sustained injuries" Kim noted.
Later, Kim reported that the death toll had risen to six.
Peskov says Russia has not withdrawn its claims to entire Kherson Oblast
Russia continues to consider Kherson, which it occupied and annexed, its territory, despite the retreat of troops to the left bank of the Dnipro River in Kherson Oblast.
