Russian missile hits high-rise building in Kryvyi Rih, at least 11 injured including two children
Here’s an enhanced version:
A Russian missile struck a high-rise residential building in Kryvyi Rih on Nov. 11, injuring at least eleven people, including two children, according to Ukraine's State Emergency Service.
The missile impacted the structure between the first and fifth floors, reported Serhiy Lisak, governor of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, who noted that people may still be trapped under the rubble.
Among the injured are a 10-year-old girl and an 11-year-old boy.
"Russia seeks only to prolong the war, and each of its strikes exposes the hollowness of its claims about diplomacy," President Volodymyr Zelensky said on social media.
"Ukraine needs more weapons to counter Russian terror and stronger international support to make genuine, effective diplomacy possible."
Kryvyi Rih, President Zelensky’s hometown, continues to be a frequent target of Russian missile attacks.
Kurakhove Reservoir dam destroyed amid surrounding hostilities
The military reported the destruction of a dam in Kurakhove, which left nearby villages underwater. Information about the victims, including possible casualties, is being clarified.
This is a serious infrastructure strike that poses significant risks to civilians and could complicate the humanitarian situation.
Disturbing reports about difficult situation around Kurakhove, which could become catastrophic
Russian forces are intensifying their strategy to encircle the city from multiple flanks. Increasing pressure in new directions, they aim to reach the logistical routes of Ukraine's Defence Forces, and this effort is gaining momentum. Currently, Russian troops are attacking Ukrainian military positions from the north, south, and east.
Their objective is to flank the city and seize control of the critical N15 Zaporizhzhia-Donetsk route, which would hinder Ukrainian movements significantly.
From the south, Russian forces are advancing along the Yasna Poliana-Maksymivka-Trudove route. Despite sustained pressure and losses, they are making progress, leaving roughly 10 kilometers between Ukrainian defenses and the highway, an area with limited fortifications. In the north, they are focused on the settlement of Sontsivka, launching numerous infiltration attempts; however, Ukrainian Defence Forces have successfully repelled these assaults, inflicting heavy casualties on the infantry.
Analysts report that Russian forces are "pushing toward the eastern outskirts of Kurakhove, attempting to reinforce their positions and establish a foothold."
Simultaneously, the situation is deteriorating around the settlements of Antonivka, Katerynivka, and Yelyzavetivka.
