Russians struck Kherson Oblast with UAVs, injured four people
Here’s an enhanced version that conveys the gravity of the situation clearly:
On November 12, Russian forces launched drone attacks on the villages of Havrylivka and Stanislav in Kherson Oblast, injuring two elderly men, aged 77 and 70.
As confirmed by state media on November 12, North Korea has formally established a mutual defense treaty with Russia. Around 11:00, Russian forces targeted Havrylivka using an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). A 77-year-old man sustained multiple shrapnel wounds to his chest, hands, and face and suffered a contusion from the drone’s explosives. He was transported to the hospital for urgent medical treatment. Later, a separate drone attack injured a 70-year-old resident of Stanislav, inflicting shrapnel wounds to his head, chest, arms, and legs, along with a contusion and an explosive injury.
Later in the afternoon, the Russians launched another strike on Zelenivka, injuring two women. A 54-year-old woman sustained an explosion injury, a head wound, and a shin injury, while an 86-year-old woman suffered a head injury and explosive trauma. Both women are currently hospitalized and receiving medical care.
North Korea ratifies defense treaty with Russia
As confirmed by state media on November 12, North Korea has formally established a mutual defense treaty with Russia. This agreement obligates both nations to assist each other in the event of an armed attack, marking a significant deepening of military ties.
The announcement follows reports of initial skirmishes between Ukrainian Armed Forces and North Korean soldiers allegedly stationed in Russia's border region of Kursk. North Korea's KCNA news agency stated that Kim Jong Un ratified the treaty through a decree, with the treaty becoming effective upon the exchange of ratification documents.
The Russian legislature unanimously passed the treaty last week, and President Vladimir Putin signed it into law. Initially signed in June during Putin’s visit to Pyongyang, the pact mandates immediate military support by either country in response to an attack.
During a recent visit to Moscow, North Korean Foreign Minister Choe Son Hui strongly supporte Russia, stating that Pyongyang would stand by Moscow "until the day of victory."
South Korea, Ukraine, and several Western nations have accused North Korea of dispatching an estimated 10,000 troops to aid Russia's efforts in Ukraine. Western governments have also alleged that Pyongyang has provided Russia with artillery shells and missiles for the war.
The G7 nations recently condemned the growing military alliance between North Korea and Russia, warning that any training of North Korean soldiers in ballistic missile use could violate United Nations Security Council resolutions, raising significant international security concerns.
