A voice of Ukraine to the West
Russia reportedly launched an intercontinental ballistic missile against Ukraine
Russia launched an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) against Dnipro, east Ukraine on the morning of Nov. 21, Kyiv's Air Force reported.
The flight time was less than 5 minutes. The missile is special because it contained 6 cassette parts, each containing 6 submunitions. The total number of submunitions is 36, each weighing 50 kilograms. President Zelenskyy confirmed that this missile hit Ukraine and said that various examinations are still underway.
Russia targeted three of Ukrainian largest energy company's five operating thermal power plants over the weekend
Russian missile strikes over the weekend hit three of Ukraine's five operational thermal power plants owned by energy giant DTEK, leaving one still out of service. Distribution stations were also targeted, causing severe damage.
DTEK, which supplied a quarter of Ukraine's electricity before the war, has been heavily impacted by aerial attacks since March. The company's CEO, Maksym Tymchenko, emphasized the need for more Western air defense systems to prevent further destruction.
Despite restoring half its capacity earlier, the latest strikes have set back efforts, with no clear timeline for the plants' full recovery. Ukrainian officials warn against panic but acknowledge the significant threat posed by Russia's missile stockpile.
Russian attack on Kryvyi Rih injured 26, damaged residential buildings
Russia attacked Kryvyi Rih in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast on November 21, injuring at least 26 people. Ten were hospitalized, including a 24-year-old woman and a 17-year-old boy, with two women in serious condition. Others received on-site medical assistance.
The attack caused damage to an administrative building, five residential buildings, a car, and two minibusses.
This assault followed a large-scale missile attack on Dnipro earlier in the day, where Russia reportedly used an intercontinental ballistic missile for the first time in the war.
Kryvyi Rih, President Zelenskyy's hometown, is a frequent target of Russian missile strikes. Located 70 km northwest of the front line, it is the second-largest city in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, with a population of approximately 660,000.
The first school for operators of ground robotic systems opened in Ukraine
Ukraine's Armed Forces have launched their first training school for operators of unmanned ground robotic systems. Established at a military training center under the direction of General Oleksandr Syrskyi, the program equips specialists with theoretical knowledge and practical skills for handling cutting-edge technologies.
The curriculum includes training on about ten types of robotic systems, such as logistics, engineering, and specialized units. Efforts are underway to expand the initiative, enhance training effectiveness, and improve facilities to meet future demands.
Colonel Vitalii Dobrianskyi, head of the Innovation Department, stressed the importance of embracing innovation: "We should not wait for the future but confidently move towards it. Developing expertise in unmanned ground robotic systems is essential for the Armed Forces of Ukraine."
