A voice of Ukraine to the West
Russians executed Ukrainian POWs near Pokrovsk
The Russian military has committed another war crime, executing five Ukrainian defenders who had been captured near the village of Petrivka in the Pokrovsk sector. According to reports, the Ukrainian soldiers, forced to retreat during an assault on their positions, took refuge in a house. The Russian forces compelled them to surrender, come out unarmed, and lie on the ground. Despite their compliance, the captives were shot on the spot. This act constitutes a blatant violation of international humanitarian law.
Russia carried out a record-breaking kamikaze drone attack on Ukraine
During the night of November 26, Russian forces launched their largest drone attack on Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale war, according to the Ukrainian Air Force. The assault began at 19:30 on November 25, involving a mix of attack drones and ballistic missiles.
Enemy Iskander-M missiles were fired from Russia's Voronezh and Kursk regions, while Shahed kamikaze drones and other unidentified UAVs were launched from the Oryol, Bryansk, Kursk, and Primorsky-Akhtarsk regions. In total, Ukrainian air defenses tracked 192 aerial targets, including four ballistic missiles and a record 188 attack drones—the previous high being 145 drones.
As of 9:00 a.m., Ukrainian air defense forces reported successfully shooting down 76 drones across 17 regions of the country.
51% of Americans oppose military aid for Ukraine - poll
U.S. citizens are narrowly divided on whether to continue military support for Ukraine, according to a CBS/YouGov poll released on November 25. The survey revealed that 49% of respondents favor ongoing support, while 51% oppose it, highlighting the polarized opinions within American society. The debate intensified following Donald Trump's recent election victory, raising concerns about potential changes in U.S. policy toward Ukraine.
Support for Ukraine was initially bipartisan at the outset of Russia's full-scale invasion in 2022. However, skepticism has grown among some Republicans, as evidenced by delays in approving a $61 billion aid package earlier this year—a move that Ukrainian officials say contributed to battlefield challenges. The survey also found mixed views on Trump's priorities regarding limiting aid to Ukraine, with 33% seeing it as a high priority, 36% as a medium priority, and 31% considering it unimportant. Conducted with 2,232 respondents between November 19 and 22, the poll reflects the shifting dynamics of U.S. public opinion on this critical issue.
Russia recognized 3 Ukrainian ATACMS strikes and promises retaliation
The Russian Ministry of Defence confirmed that Ukraine's Armed Forces successfully targeted Kursk Oblast with three ATACMS long-range missiles on November 23 and 25, according to Russian state media RIA Novosti. These strikes mark another instance of Ukraine utilizing Western-supplied precision weaponry.
On November 23, five ATACMS missiles were reportedly fired at Lotarevka, near an S-400 anti-aircraft missile battalion. Russia claims that three missiles were intercepted, but two reached their target. On November 25, an ATACMS missile struck the Kursk-Vostochny airfield after seven others were allegedly shot down. The Russian Ministry of Defence reported minor injuries to two servicemen from falling missile fragments and noted that American-made ATACMS missiles were used. Moscow has announced plans to "prepare actions in response" to these attacks.
